The North East LEP is a public, private and education sector partnership that are responsible for promoting and developing economic growth across the North East LEP area that comprises of County Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, South Tyneside and Sunderland.
The North East LEP’s role is to provide strategic economic leadership for the region, working with partners and facilitating the delivery of the North East Strategic Economic Plan (SEP), which sets out the ambition to create 100,000 more and better jobs in the North East.

The North East Combined Authority brings together the seven councils which serve County Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, South Tyneside, Northumberland and Sunderland.
