The Department for Transport record Passenger Journeys on Local Bus Services per Head of Population. The graph compares bus use per capita in the North East Local Enterprise Partnership with standard regions.
The North East traditionally has a higher level of bus use per head of population than other parts of England, excluding London. In London, there were 252.2 passenger journeys per head during 2017/18. This boosts the England figure to 78.3.
