This indicator measures the percentage of trains on the Tyne & Wear metro arriving on time which is defined as within 3 minutes later than scheduled or within 29 seconds earlier than scheduled. It is produced for 4 week periods.
Punctuality statistics are published on the nexus.org.uk website and shown on Metro Performance posters at stations. Punctuality is seasonal with reduced punctuality in some months, particularly around Autumn, but this has been improving in recent years.
Since April 2017 Metro Operations have been handed back from DBTW, the concessionaire, to Nexus.
